The Hole in my Soul and its Transparent Dress

Exhibition and Book Presentation in Belgium

DAS LOCH IN MEINER SEELE UND IHR GLÄSERNES KLEID (THE HOLE IN MY SOUL AND ITS TRANSPARENT DRESS) is Heinz Frank’s first solo-exhibition in Belgium. The concept of the hole is at the core of Frank’s work. The artist regards the hole as the beginning and the end and life as in between. Marking the hole and rendering it thus visible by giving shape to it with various objects of wood or metal, parts of furniture and, most preferably, stones he creates mysterious and enigmatic assemblages. The exhibition will feature Frank’s works from the 1960s until now.

Heinz Frank (*1939 in Vienna) studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He has been working as an artist since the 1960s. His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions and are part of several collections, including mumok - museum of modern art Vienna, MAK - Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna and Rupertinum, Salzburg.
