Critical Endeavour - Beyond Moscow Presentation & Lectures, NCCA, Moscow
An initial meeting and first presentation of the project Beyond Moscow that will be followed by a research journey and a special Springerin issue in 2015.
Beyond Moscow
While the art scene in Moscow is internationally established, the official and private art institutions in the Russian regions struggle for a higher international standing, and Austrian art institutions are most interested in learning more about the artistic development in Russian regions. The project Beyond Moscow wants to create a network of mostly, but not only Russian and Austrian artists, curators and critics of contemporary art.
The evening is part of the parallel program of the exhibition Desiring the Real: Austrian Contemporary Art at NCCA in Moscow, curated by Karin Zimmer. Organizers: National Centre for Contemporary Arts NCCA Moscow, Federal Chancellery of Austria. Co-organizer: Austrian Cultural Forum in Moscow
